Keeping them flat and bright
Three habits that make a pressed-flower bookmark last.

Light is the main thing that fades a dried flower. A bookmark that lives inside a closed book sees very little of it, which is why the inside of a book is the best place to keep one.
Avoid sunny windowsills, car dashboards and the top of a radiator. Heat won't hurt the laminate quickly, but sun will slowly bleach the petals.
Don't fold it. The card flexes a little, but a hard crease can crack a petal under the laminate.
If it gets dusty, wipe the laminate with a dry cloth. Don't soak it.
